The Sentinel range of micro-processor based circular chart recorders is available in 1, 2 and 3 channel versions.

Sentinel combines the simplicity and clarity of pen drawn traces together with the versatility of microprocessor control.

Each channel is equipped with a universal signal input which is compatible with all industry standard sensors and signals including thermocouple types J, K, T, E, N, R, S and B, Pt100 platinum resistance temperature detectors and 4 to 20mA current loops.

The RTH100 Series of temperature and humidity circular chart recorders uses the proven design combination of bimetallic coils and hygroscopic membrane for the direct measurement of temperature and humidity.  Changes in atmospheric temperature and hygroscopic membrane monitoring the humidity.  Air is drawn through the instrument and over the two sensing elements by an electrically driven fan. Expansion or contraction of the bimetallic coil, due to temperature change, causes the pen movement by direct linkage. Similarly a change in humidity causes extension, or contraction, of the hygroscopic membrane and direct linkage again causes movement of the second pen.

The temperature systems used in this range of recorders/controllers are the well proven and reliable Rototherm stainless steel thermal system.  Up to two pens can be fitted with two pressure systems, two temperature systems or a combination of pressure and temperature.  An all mechanical version is available for applications where no electrical supply is available or where an intrinsically safe instrument is required. Chart drive for this version uses a mechanical, spring wound motor.  Control can be specified to provide single term (P), two-term (P+I) or (P+D), three-term (P+I+D), on/off or differential-gap control action for the control of temperature, gauge pressure, vacuum, differential pressure or absolute pressure.

The Series 33 range of recorders and recorder controllers may be used with thermocouple, resistance thermometer element, strain gauge or potentiometric pressure transducer, or any transducer producing a dc current or voltage signal.  Available as a single pen, two pen or three pen model, this potentiometric chart recorder will produce a permanent recorder of the value of the measured variable.  With a two-pen recorder the measuring element for the second pen can be a Bourdon or diaphragm measuring element.  A three-position operations pen can be supplied, provided that no pen lift is required and that no alarms are required on the second system, if fitted.

The RPO series of pressure circular chart recorders uses the well proven and reliable Rototherm non ferrous or stainless steel pressure system.  These reliable and accurate instruments are suitable for most applications where there is a requirement for low cost pressure recording.  Up to three pens can be fitted with three pressure systems or combination of temperature, pressure or flow sensing systems.  The case is suitable for panel mounting or may be specified as portable or pipe mounting.

Developed from the ex Kent Industrial Measurement and Cambridge range of temperature/pressure circular chart recorders, the round case C105 and rectangular cased M105, continue to be available and still offer the same reliability and versatility that has been manufactured for the past 30 years.

The C105 and M105 temperature/pressure recorders are supplied in a robust, heavy duty steel bodies and can be supplied with up to two pens - both temperature/pressure or a choice of temperature and pressure.

Both versions can be specified with electrical contacts and if required can be supplied with pneumatic control options.

Complementing the extensive range of Rototherm recorders is an economically priced self contained wall mounted or portable temperature recorder using a 150mm diameter circular chart.  Chart rotation is by means of a 7 day battery operated or spring wound clock and the measuring element is a bimetallic system covering temperature ranges from -30 to +60ºC.  These recorders are ideally suited for use in cold stores, container trucks, computer rooms and many other applications where a totally safe non toxic system is required.  The pen system is a no mess disposable cartridge type giving a clear easy to read trace.
